Spring!

Hi :)

Happy Spring! The robins are singing, the grass is greening up and I'm starting to see little sprouts outside in our beds as well as in our seed trays. It's all so exciting!

Over the weekend we picked up four bottle baby lambs to add to our summer flock and gosh are they cute! Last night we were expecting strong storms, so we brought the lambs into our mudroom. It took all of the kids' willpower not to snuggle them into their beds!

We are also anxiously awaiting the arrival of lambs from our two ewes. This will be our first time lambing, so we are praying all goes well.

We also brought home 120 chicks yesterday. We planned on adding another 30-40 to our coop, but you know how it goes...especially when they're 75% off...how can you say no?! It's really feeling like we are living in an episode of All Creatures Great and Small these days and I'm loving it!!

The men are making great progress on our new flower (and most likely egg) stand-I can't wait for you to see it! My hope is that it will be open in time for Mother's Day, but either way we will have flowers available here at the farm, as well as a few other locations- more details to come!

In the meantime, we wish you a very Happy Easter! May you be reminded of the gift of new life Our Lord has so lovingly given each one of us.
